Approximately 80% of this book is on Andrew Jackson and gives a very good background on Jackson from a young boy through the end of his life,the balance is on Van Buren and his path to the presidency. I enjoy reading books like this that are written closer to the actual time period involved as they are usually more accurate in their facts. It is an easy read that I would recommend.
